A spin-off of ‘Big Mouth’, this workplace comedy revolves around the daily antics of the original series’ monsters. Human Resources Season 2 Release Date
Season 1 of ‘Human Resources’ was released in its entirety on March 18, 2022 on Netflix. It includes a total of ten episodes with a duration of 25-28 minutes each. Now let’s talk about the second season.
The makers have not yet made any official announcement about the show returning for a second outing. However, given the popularity of the debut season and viewers’ demand to see their beloved characters again, there is a good chance that the show will return for at least one episode. Additionally, its parent series “Big Mouth” and numerous other animated adult sitcoms on the streaming platform such as “BoJack Horseman” and “F for Family” delivered at least five seasons. So there is a good chance that ‘Human Resources’ will follow the same pattern.
Additionally, co-creator Kelly Galuska shared in a March 2022 interview that they have several other storylines they plan to share in future seasons. Taking into account all the above-mentioned factors, Netflix may greenlight the second season in the coming months. If everything, including the production schedule and the availability of the voice actors, goes smoothly, we can expect ‘Human Resources’ Season 2 to release sometime in the first quarter of 2023.
Human Resources Season 2 Voice Cast: Who Can Be in It?
If season 2 becomes a reality, Aidy Bryant and Maya Rudolph could once again lend their voices to Emmy and Constance LaCienega, aka Connie, respectively. Additionally, Nick Kroll can be expected to reprise the voice roles of Maurice and Rick, along with David Thewlis, who voices Lionel. Other voice actors who may return for the potential season 2 include Brandon Kyle Goodman (Walter), Keke Palmer (Rochelle), Pamela Adlon (Sonya), Randall Park (Peter) and Ali Wong (Becca).
Additionally, Thandiwe Newton (Mona), Bobby Cannavale (Gavin), Jemaine Clement (Simon Sex), Maria Bamford (Tito), Rosie Perez (Petra) and Henry Winkler (Keith) may also lend their voices to their characters as the series returns . Apart from them, new voice actors may join the mix as new characters may be added to expand the story.
Human Resources Season 2 Plot: What Could It Be About?
Season 1 follows how Junior Lovebug Emmy is assigned her new human client Becca, who is struggling to bond with her newborn baby. On the other hand, the Hormone Monsters are sent to sensitivity training, and Rochelle and Petra get into an argument about their client Nadja’s life choices. Later, Emmy and Rochelle become sworn rivals and their conflict escalates. Elsewhere, client thefts and romances take place in the office, and Sonya reveals her love story. At the end of the season, a massive hurricane forces everyone to seek shelter, and the headquarters loses its portals to Earth due to a power outage.
The second season will most likely pick up where the first part ends and explore the aftermath of the hurricane. The feud between Emmy and Rochelle could also play a role in the possible season 2, along with Sonya’s romantic adventures. Additionally, new customers and employees may arrive and cause more mischief in the monsters’ lives.
