VJ Thara was born on January 10, 1997 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. After completing her studies in Chennai, she started her career by working as an anchor on a Kollywood music show called Isaiaruvi, which airs on Kalaignar TV. She then took part in many modeling and fashion show competitions.
Career
Thara started making comedy videos on a YouTube channel called BehindwoodsTV in 2017-2019. In 2020, she got an opportunity to make a debut in the Tamil television industry by playing the supporting role of Meena in Star Vijay’s serial Anbudan Kushi and in the same year, she also appeared in Zee Tamil’s soap opera Sembaruthi .
Thara once again got an opportunity to make her debut in the Kollywood industry by appearing in Vijay’s action thriller film Master in 2021. She portrayed the role of a student role and received positive reviews from the audience.
In 2023, Thara came into limelight for playing the role of Veera Lakshmi in Zee Tamil’s romantic drama series Anna. The same year, she made headlines for playing the lead role of Dhanalakshmi in Zee Tamil’s dramatic series Sandhya Raagam starring Sandhya Jagarlamudi, Antara Swarnakar and Surjith Kumar.
