The storyline tells of a monster-infested underworld beneath the modern city of Krakow. A professor and his team of nine students struggle to decipher a paranormal mystery, while Alex’s riddle takes center stage in the story. After losing her mother in a tragic accident in his youth, Alex drowned her nightmares in partying, sex, drugs and alcohol.

However, after being spotted by the professor, Alex’s life takes a new direction. When a demon named Hvor unleashes hell on a modern city, Alex must communicate with her mother in another world and solve the puzzle. After its release on Netflix, this Polish original series attracted a lot of attention, thanks to its stories based on mythology, complex characters and exciting atmosphere. After season one’s cliffhanger ending, you have to wonder if a sequel is in the books. If that thought crosses your mind, let’s dig deeper and see if there’s an opportunity for a second round!

Cracow Monsters Season 2: Possible Release Date

Season 1 of ‘Cracow Monsters’ premiered in full on March 18, 2022 Netflix. The first season contained eight episodes with a running time of 49-55 minutes per episode. Here’s what we can tell you about a possible second season. While there’s no official announcement yet, a second season may be in the books as the ending of season one leaves the storyline hanging. Netflix usually takes a few months to analyze extensive viewing data. Based on this, they decide whether it makes sense to greenlight a show for the new edition. So if the show is renewed in June 2022, we can expect ‘Cracow Monsters’ Season 2 to premiere sometime in the first quarter of 2023 or later.

The cast of Cracow Monsters Season 2: Who could be in it?

Almost all of the main actors should join again if the second season looks bright. They are Andrzej Chyra (Professor Zawadzki), Barbara Liberek (Alex), Anna Paliga (Iliana), Kaja Chan (Hania) and Stanislaw Cywka (Birdy). Maja Chan (Basia), Stanislaw Linowski (Lucky), Mateusz Górski (Antoni), Daniel Namiotko (Gigi) and Malgorzata Bela (Aitwar) also play important roles. Apart from that, we might see some new faces in a possible season 2, but it’s too early to speculate.

Cracow Monsters Season 2 Plot: What is it about?

The first season finale reveals the war between worlds. Alex races to stop the transition to another era after discovering that she is the reincarnation of Wanda. The red moon marked the last day of Veles’ reign. Alex’s grandmother shows up in the dorm to warn Alex and the others about the red moon. The others were already stunned by Lucky’s apparent death.

Alex thinks she can communicate with Wanda if the team recreates the sinking action. The professor is pushed against a wall, endangering Alex’s life and leading her to Hvor. A battle ensues in which Alex defeats Hvor, fulfills his mother’s prophecy and the professor saves his son. In the final moments of season 1, the guardian deity Alex visits Lucky, who is apparently still alive.

If there had been a second season, it would have been picked up after Hvor’s demise. In the finale, a god appears before Alex and reminds her that her meddling in divine affairs comes at a high cost. As evil as Hvor is, he is still a god, and killing him has consequences. The potential for season 2 could send Alex further down the rabbit hole, with the possible emergence of another monstrous giant from Slavic mythology.

We’ll also likely find out how Lucky comes back to life when he appears to be dead in the seventh episode of the first season. Moreover, there will be more supernatural evil among the students in the dormitories. We might even hear other songs from Hania, Basia and their house band. Rest assured, there will be a more mystical aura to keep fans of the genre captivated.
