Bastar: The Naxal Story is a real incident-based film directed by Sudipton Sen. Adah Sharma, Anangsha Biswasm, Shilpa Shukla and Raima Sen played crucial roles. Vipul Amrutlal Shah produced this film under the banner of Last Monk Media and Sunshine Pictures. Bishakhjyoti scored the songs and background music.

The film is from the makers of The Kerala Story. It owned the headlines for discussing the forceful conversion to Islam in Kerala. But the people and politicians in Kerala reacted strongly against it, and the film was not released in most places. Hence, expectations are high for the Bastar film.
