George Conway denounces Mike Pence’s attack on Donald Trump
Conservative US lawyer George Conway on Sunday criticized former vice president and 2024 presidential candidate Mike Pence for attacking former President Donald Trump.
Pence appeared in an interview on Sunday where he discussed Hamas’ rocket attacks on Israel as part of the Israeli-Palestinian war.
He claimed the attack was due to Republican rhetoric on foreign policy. Pence said: “This is what happens when leading voices like Donald Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy and Ron DeSantis signal a retreat from America’s role as leader of the free world. »

Pence added: “What happened in Ukraine was an unprovoked invasion by Russia. What happened this weekend was an unprovoked Hamas invasion of Israel. I truly believe that now more than ever, both in the debate within the Republican Party and in the debate within America, the question is whether or not we are going to run again without apology as the leader of the free world.”
Pence’s statements implicating Trump angered Conway, who founded an anti-Trump political action committee, the Lincoln Project. Conway said Pence’s attack was “self-serving” and that he was trying to rewrite history.

In his article on The truth is that this attack did not happen because of anything the United States did or did not do. He said candidates should not use attacks for “political gain.”
Trump responded to criticism by writing that his administration had brought “so much peace” to the region. Additionally, his son, Donald Trump Jr., also responded to Convey’s post.
He wrote: “You are the embodiment of the kind of weakness that led to this. You should have been careful when you crawled at the master’s feet. Trump brought peace because the world knew it – go see and find out! We will never return to your failed approach and that of your one-party idiots.”

Pence presented himself as a traditional conservative opposed to isolationist policies. In contrast, some conservatives tend to adopt an isolationist policy, believing that the government should not interfere in the affairs of other countries and instead focus on spending funds for domestic purposes.
