The title of Suriya 42 is ‘Kanguva’, a Mighty Valiant Saga, and it is a period drama helmed by Siruthai Siva. The film was bankrolled by Vamsi-Pramod and KE Gnanavel Raja under the production banners UV Creations and Studio Green. Bollywood Diva Disha Patani plays a female lead in the film, while Natty Natraj plays the antagonist. It is the first collaboration between Siruthai Siva and Suriya. The film was shot in 3D and will be released in 10 languages.
On July 20, 2023, the makers of Kanguva film announced the release date of the first look poster as July 23, 2023, which will give a glimpse of Suriya’s role in the film.
