8th District Congressman Pete Stauber was approached by 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS on Thursday. They wanted to get Pete’s opinion on the latest indictments filed against former President Donald Trump as he continues to campaign for the GOP nomination for re-election.

Stauber, along with four other Republican members of Congress from Minnesota, have remained silent since the indictments were indicted.

Rep. Stauber can be seen as prudent not to comment on the indictments or the former president during the interview.

Stauber commented: “What worries me is their timing, and some district attorneys actually showed up to convict or indict Donald Trump.

Stauber said he is carefully monitoring the progress of the two Trump investigations with the special counsel and Hunter Biden. He added that he did not pick a side to support and would support whoever the Republicans elect at their convention in Milwaukee in August 2024.
