In an attempt to go after Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, who subjected Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to torturous interrogation earlier this month during a “disastrous” interview, Ramaswamy is now teaming up with far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
Vivek Ramaswamy teams up with Alex Jones to criticize Sean Hannity
Ramaswamy praised Jones and called the Infowars founder “the most censored man in the world” in the most recent episode of his TRUTH podcast, which airs on the social media site formerly known as Twitter.
Jones and his media outlet are still barred from using the now-renamed site X, even though Elon Musk reversed suspensions of the most controversial people after Twitter acquired it.
During the cordial, hour-long conversation, Ramaswamy essentially ignored Jones’ history of spreading wild conspiracy theories regarding the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the Sandy Hook mass shooting, which implies that Jones was just a truth seeker fighting against the establishment.
Finally, Ramaswamy brought up the Hannity interview, which Jones admitted he hadn’t seen yet. The politician described as “anti-woke” gave a detailed explanation to his guest.
Ramaswamy, who used the “disastrous” interview to raise money, then addressed the tense Fox News exchange focused on his criticism of Republican presidential nominee Nikki Haley’s ties to National Defense.
Ramaswamy said, “The Republican Party like Nikki Haley screaming ‘finish them!’ End it,” speaking of Hamas and Iran as if there were no distinction. Finish them! Okay, what are the consequences for the United States of America? What’s interesting is that this guy Hannity – I was very disappointed – sued me for pointing out that Nikki Haley made $8 million after being the US ambassador to the UN , as a military contractor and otherwise! »
Ramaswamy called the interaction a “wake-up call,” noting that it was painful to witness a “so-called conservative voice adhering to what the captured establishment is, the Super PAC puppets.”
On the other hand, Jones faced the camera and told Hannity that “World War III” could break out at any moment. While sighing, Jones said, “The crazy times are beginning.”
Ramaswamy didn’t say it, but much of Hannity’s claim revolved around the presidential candidate’s propensity to deny his statements.
Hannity specifically criticized Ramaswamy for his claims regarding “financial and corrupting influences” that resulted in “selective moral outrage” over the Hamas attack. However, after rereading the words, Ramaswamy insisted that the Fox host was misrepresenting him.
Hannity shouted during their controversial exchange: “You do this in every interview: You say things, then you deny them. You deny your own word. So, you know, why don’t you own up to what you’re saying, stick to it, and stop playing these games? »
In the latter part of the podcast, Jones showered Ramaswamy with praise and even said he would be his second choice for president in 2024, behind Donald Trump.
Jones said: “They could assassinate Trump, so you know, you’re… I mean, I’d like him to be elected, but otherwise, [then] You.”
It shouldn’t come as a shock that the Infowars star has a crush on Ramaswamy. He began referring to the 38-year-old entrepreneur as “Alex Jones 2.0” in recent months.
